Antarctica21 was founded in 2003 in Punta Arenas, Chile. It pioneered travel to Antarctica in a new way – the air-cruise model to get passengers to the White Continent without having to venture across the infamous Drake Passage
It offers boutique-style wilderness adventures in Antarctica and the sub-Antarctic islands. The Antarctica air-cruises and sea voyages are operated with small expedition ships that offer a wide range of experiences ashore. Expert guides lead guests on twice daily zodiacs with options to kayak and snowshoeing.
The fleet includes the modern Magellan Explorer with innovative technology, the elegance Herbridean Sky with all-suite accommodation, and the strong and mighty Ocean Nova provides active adventure.
Small expedition vessels offers direct access to areas along the Antarctic shore that larger ship simply cannot. Passengers can embark/disembark faster on the gangway. Antarctica21 also offers high staff to guest ratio, limited to 12 expert polar guides for each expedition to share their expertise in geography, natural history, wildlife and ecology.
