Arriving into Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be transferred into your Nairobi hotel to rest.

Fly this morning from Nairobi’s Wilson Airport into Meru. Truly off-the-beaten, you will be based on a remote wilderness retreat with a splendid view of the Meru Plains. Make a visit to the rhino sanctuary, where the endangered black and white rhinos live over a vast 84 sq km area.

Start your morning with a delicious bush breakfast followed by a morning game drive to spot unique wildlife adapted to the arid region, such as gerenuk, reticulated giraffes, Grevy’s zebra, Somali ostrich, lesser and greater kudus. Enjoy more afternoon game drive or take your rod for a fish catch & release experience as you settle with some canapes on one of Meru’s palm-fringed rivers, filled with catfish, tilapia and barbell. Conclude the day with sundowner with a gin and tonic in hand.

Another morning game drive in Meru awaits before we fly to Laikipia. The afternoon game drive in Laikipia will showcase the vast plateau ranging from high plains and low-forested valleys, followed by sundowner with a view of the Great Rift Valley.

Known for its successful wildlife reintroduction, today’s Laikipia game drives may bring a chance encounter with the park’s well-habituated rhinos and big cats. It is also home to the northern hemisphere’s only viable wild dog population! Other activities include Ngare Ndare canopy walk (complimentary for min. 4 pax in Lewa Safari Camp) or camel riding, mountain biking, quad biking and archery (complimentary in Sanctuary at Ol Lentille).

Enjoy a guided walking safari before transferring to your airstrip for late morning flight to Maasai Mara. Enjoy one of the following activities:

1. Maasai Village Visit (30 minutes) to learn about their nomadic life
2. Kichwa Nature Trail (2 hours) through riverine with fantastic birdlife
3. Oloololo Escarpment Trail (2 hours) to Mara Reserve viewpoint

Start with optional morning 1-hour balloon safari followed with champagne breakfast in the open plains upon landing (additional cost applies). Enjoy a full day of Maasai Mara safari drives with thousands of hoofed animals and super predators in attendance. Look out for elephants, black rhinos, buffaloes, wildebeests, Burchell’s zebras, hartebeests, lions, leopards, cheetahs, giraffes, hippos, crocodiles, antelopes and gazelles!

Enjoy your final morning game drive before flying into Nairobi’s Wilson airport. You will be connected to Jomo Kenyatta International airport for your international flight home.
