Jeju & Seoul
Dubbed the Korean Hawaii, the UNESCO island of Jeju is blessed with head-turning landscapes of shield volcanoes, lava formations, stone pillars, towering waterfalls and infinite turquoise sea, making it a haven for both hiking and biking enthusiasts.
Best visited during spring and autumn, Jeju also makes excellent pairing with the eyes-popping panorama of cherry blossom or rioting red leaves in the vibrant Seoul. A stay in the traditional ondol-styled suite is also a must to fully take in the beauty of Korean culture.
Arriving in Jeju, embark on Northern Jeju Tour. We will visit key sites including Yongduam created from volcanic eruption 2 million years ago, Jeju Folklore & National History Museum and Dokaebi Mysterious Road where you can experience strange sensation of car rolling uphill. Thereafter, we transfer to your hotel.
Rise early for Seongsan Ilchulbong sunrise hike overlooking the sea. The area is also known for the tales of Haenyo grandmothers freediving for seafood. Thereafter, we embark on a 22km seaside biking to Jeju Folk Village where you will learn about the stone harubangs (statues) guarding the island. You will also visit the Soesokkak Estuary and hike to Jeongbang Waterfall. At 75 feet, it is Asia’s only cascade which falls directly into the sea.
Take it easy for the day with Western Jeju Sightseeing. Start at Osulloc Tea Museum with its interactive full-sensory space and farm built by Innisfree. Continue to Yakchosan Temple which is considered Asia’s largest Zen Buddhist temple, Jusangjeolli Stone Pillars which is formed from Mt. Hallasan lava, as well as Oedolgae Rock (Seaside Park) with its 20-metre rock.
Today, you will conquer the Eoseungsaengak Hike on Hallasan Mountain. This shield mountain is a mainstay natural landmark of Jeju and a favourite among local Koreans. Thereafter, we transfer to the airport for your flight home or onward journey.
As Jeju is especially lovely in spring/autumn when the weather is mild with less precipitation, it makes a perfect combo with the vibrant Seoul during the glorious cherry blossom and fall foliage seasons.
Arriving from Jeju to the national capital in Seoul, we transfer to your hotel to rest. We have specifically selected quaint ondol stay for you to fully immerse in the vibe of traditional Korean culture.
Start with an orientation tour of Seoul’s two key icons: Gyeongbokgung Palace and Bukchon Hanok Village. Thereafter, enjoy biking along Yeuido Park & Hangang River. This area is especially beautiful with over 1,880 cherry blossom trees and plenty of autumn trails to choose from.
Depart to Garden of Morning Calm, a masterpiece of landscaped garden and floral arrangements as featured in many K-dramas including “Moonlight Drawn by Clouds”. We can include apple harvesting if you are visiting at fall. On your return to Seoul, stop at Seokchon Lake which blooms into riot of colors both during cherry blossom and autumn foliage seasons.
Today is free at leisure for you to do some shopping or explore your surroundings before transferring to the airport for your flight home.
