Arrive Irkutsk
Touch down in Irkutsk, a major, historic city in Eastern Siberia, Russia, located on the Angara River near Lake Baikal. After your arrival, transfer to your accommodation and relax after your long flight.

Siberian Charm
Founded in the 17th century, Irkutsk is famed for its Siberian charm and rich wooden architecture. Today visits key landmarks including the Church of the Savior, War Memorial, Angara River embankment, Cathedral of Our Lady of the Sign, and Monument to Emperor Alexander III. You’ll also explore the Decembrists’ House Museum and the bell tower of Irkutsk’s oldest church, timeless symbols of the city’s enduring heritage.

Buryat Culture
This morning, drive about 290 km (around six hours) to Olkhon Island – the “heart” of Lake Baikal and its largest island. En route, stop at Ust‑Orda to visit the Museum of Buryat Culture, where you’ll meet a local shaman, then continue to a nearby Dazan for an encounter with a Lama before reaching Olkhon. Stretching 72 km long and 15 km wide, the island is home to about 1,500 residents and is considered Baikal’s spiritual cente, a land where legends, sacred sites, and nature’s raw beauty intertwine.

Olkhon Island – North
Set out in sturdy 4 wheel UAZ vehicles for a full day adventure across Olkhon Island and the frozen expanse of Lake Baikal. Begin at the sacred Shaman Cape – one of Asia’s nine revered relic sites – long believed to be the dwelling of heavenly spirits and among the most powerful sacred places around Baikal. Continue north to the dramatic Cape Khoboi, the island’s northernmost point, to explore icy caves, shimmering cracks, and extraordinary natural ice formations.

Olkhon Island – South
Embark on another full‑day 4‑wheel UAZ adventure across Lake Baikal. Cross to Ogoi Island, a sacred Buddhist site with the Enlightenment Stupa overlooking the shimmering “Little Sea.” Explore Olkhon’s southern caves and islets, pause for the enchanting Baikal Kiss Ceremony, and try your hand at traditional ice fishing, a perfect day blend of spirituality, nature, and local tradition.

Hovercraft to Listvyanka
Board a hovercraft for a thrilling crossing from Olkhon Island to Listvyanka, with stops to witness the famous frozen “Baikal bubbles” up close. Enjoy lunch en route before arriving in Listvyanka, a historic village on the southwest shore of Lake Baikal. Founded in 1701 as one of Russia’s first settlements on the lake, Listvyanka transformed in the late 19th century with the Trans‑Siberian Railway and today thrives as a lively tourism hub.

Atmospheric settlement
Begin with a visit to the Baikal Museum, a treasure trove of exhibits showcasing the lake’s origins, endemic flora and fauna, and a stunning model of its seabed – from surface waters to maximum depths. Next, explore St. Nicolas Church, the vibrant Fish Market, and the sacred Shaman Rock, a natural divide between the world’s deepest lake and the Angara River. Steeped in Buryat legends, this powerful rock is believed to house one of their gods.
In the afternoon, head to a local dog farm for an exhilarating dogsledding adventure, followed by a glimpse of the historic winter railway and its atmospheric settlement – a perfect blend of adventure and Siberian heritage.

Depart Listvyanka
After breakfast, transfer to Irkutsk. En route, visit the Taltsy Open Air Museum, home to beautifully preserved wooden houses from the 17th and 18th centuries, a living testament to Siberia’s architectural heritage. Enjoy a warm, authentic lunch with a Russian family, then continue to the airport for your departure.
