Enjoy a walking tour to Victoria Falls, spanning both the Zambian and Zimbabwean sides. The thunderous roar of the falls can be heard over 40km away, and the spectacle of spray and mist rises to heights over 400m. It’s no wonder the local tribes once referred to this natural wonder as Mosi-o-Tunya, “The smoke that thunders.”
In the afternoon, delight in a relaxing sundowner cruise on the Zambezi River. Cruise along the riverbanks, viewing the spectacular scenery of nature’s sanctuary. Keep an eye out for hippopotamuses, crocodiles, and a variety of wild birds, all while sipping your drink against the backdrop of an African sunset in brilliant shades of red and orange.
You will be transferred from your accommodation to the airport.
Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your lodge in the Savute area.
Set in a secluded corner of Chobe National Park, Savute is renowned for its excellent big game viewing amidst the marshland of the Savute Channel. Abundant with diverse wildlife and bird species, a safari in Savute offers a premium alternative to the more touristy areas of Chobe. Morning and afternoon game drives take you across open floodplains and through thick bands of riverine forest, allowing you to encounter wildlife at the water’s edge.
Upon landing, you will be met and transferred to your unique lodge that offers a blend of both water and land-based activities throughout the year. This setup provides a contrasting experience while maximising your wildlife viewing opportunities across different habitats.
[Note: Depending on your exact month of departure, the choice of camps may differ than the ones listed in this itinerary.]
Designated as a UNESCO Natural World Heritage site in 2014, the Okavango Delta stands as an important wildlife sanctuary. Fed by floodwaters from faraway Angola, this seasonal environment is home to a diverse array of species, including large herds, predators, and birds. Enjoy morning and afternoon activities in the Okavango Delta. Spanning 15,000 square kilometers of water channels, lagoons, and islands, this wilderness sanctuary is one of Africa’s most incredible natural wonders. Glide through the channels on mokoro or powerboat excursions, immersing yourself in the authentic and unobtrusive beauty of this wetland paradise. The delta’s wildlife is prolific, offering excellent opportunities to spot larger predators, herds of elephants and buffaloes, and a variety of plains animals. Night drives present the chance to encounter nocturnal mammals such as civets, genets, and bushbabies, along with owls and possibly leopards on the hunt.
