A Marine Sanctuary

A hidden jewel lost in the vastness of Indian Ocean, this Australian External Territory is a certified Sanctuary Zone. It has been granted the highest level of protection and human actvities are highly limited. This protected sanctuary that shelters over 500 fish species, marine turtles, dugongs and playful dolphins. The islands also attract hundred thousands of migratory birds every year, including more than 40 species such as crested terns, white-tailed tropicbirds, majestic greater grigatebirds, curlew sandpipers, bar-tailed godwits and great knots.

Wyndham: Gateway to the Untamed

Perched on the edge of the Cambridge Gulf where the winding rivers converge is the lovely settlement of Wyndham, founded amidst the Halls Creek gold rush and infused with the rugged spirit of an outback township. Welcoming only a handful of small vessels, you may opt to explore Wyndham’s deep heritage or venture along the Ord River, where fruit bats flit overhead, short-eared rock wallabies hop along the rugged banks, and the melodic songs of mangrove gerygones permeate the serene waterways. Optionally, you can board a scenic flight over the iconic Bungle Bungle range.

Where the River Bends Time

Unfolding as one of Australia’s most striking natural spectacles, this is where the rugged outback meets the open sea. Glide through serpentine channels carved by millennia, flanked by towering red cliffs and ancient rock formations that whisper of deep time. Every turn reveals a landscape steeped in history—a reminder of a land untouched, untamed and utterly alive.

Echoes of the Vansittart Bay

Parked at the northern tip of Western Australia, Vansittary Bay invites exploration. Ancient Bradshaw (Gwion Gwion) and Wandjina rock art whisper stories of a distant past, while a short trek across the lagoon to the Anjo Peninsula uncovers a nearly intact C-53 airplane wreck from World War II. Between the islands, cliffs, and hidden beaches, every step reveals layers of history against the wild.

Hunter River: Guardian of the Mitchell Falls

The Hunter River threads its way through a labyrinth of mangroves, their roots twisting like ancient fingers beneath soaring red sandstone cliffs. Narrow channels hide mudskippers and fiddler crabs, while birds wheel and call overhead, all under the silent, unyielding presence of the saltwater crocodile—the river’s ultimate sentinel. Further inland, Mitchell Falls thunder over four tiers of stone, plunging into emerald pools that pulse with life.

Into the Tidal Kingdom

Off the wild coast of Western Australia, the Buccanner Archipelago comprises of eight hundred islands that rise and fall with the staggering rhythm of Yampi Sound, where tide sof up to 12 meters sculpt the landscape in a constant dance of water and rock. Talbot Bay’s reversible waterfall flows backward and forward, a shimmering illusion born of relentless currents. It is also home to Montgomery Reef, the world’s largest inshore reef. During low water level, a semi-submerged kingdom emerges out of the water, revealing life teeming in every pool.
