Adam and his team did a marvelous job preparing and organizing my solo trip to Finland, Sweden and Istanbul (23 Nov - 6 Dec). The accommodation, activities and transportation were thoughtfully designed to cater to my needs and requests. Even when the trip began, Adam was still working behind the scenes ensuring every step of my journey was smooth. Adam is always responsive and available. I got to see and experience my bucket list items such as witness the aurora borialis, mush a team of huskies, catch fish ice fishing, be taken to the airport by husky express, and have cats sit on my lap in Istanbul! Thank you Adam and the Intriq team for making my wishes come true!! This has been the most remarkable, memorable, pampered and most decadant holiday I have ever experienced.

Recently I have joined a commercial trip to Xian. Haven’t join any commercial tours for ages but Intriq Journey has its fame. Last time a small in group of us went to Caucasus which was organised by Intriq. I was rather impressed so when I learned they have a trip to Xian I joined immediately. At first I only want to see the Tang Murals with the expert Master Wang 王建岐. However it is a five days tour and I had some doubts about the rest of the journey. It turned out to surpass my expectations. The tour guy Tiger is very knowledgeable. His guide with another expert for the Terracotta exhibition was eye opening with many details new to me. Master Wang guide to the History Museum and the Stele Forest Museum 碑林博物館 was simply stunning. Even the tour to 法門寺 Temple of the door to Dharma was so good, the initial worry of how to spend five days in Xian was gone. All of us thought that we should stay longer. The hotels were among the best. First one is inside 華清池 and we have our private onsen in our own patio. Then we have Ritz Carlton which despite its name is luxurious yet in a subtle manner, very relaxed and enjoyable. The other tour members are also very nice and are good companions. So I am lucky to have joined this trip.

I am thankful to have come across Intriq Journey while researching for Antarctica in 2023. Since then, they have planned my trip to the polar regions and my honeymoon - New Zealand.

Pamela and Sheena were excellent at what they do. Prompt with replies and quick with updates on any changes. They were also competent, reaching solutions to whatever situation it may be. What amazes me is the pre-trip briefing that they provide, which is informative and suitable for queries to get you prepared for your trip. Waye, Sheena and the team at Intriq Journey Tours did a really fantastic job curating and planning my son and my trip to Berlin. We wanted a customized itinerary that catered to our interest in history and Intriq did not disappoint. Every day of our 5-day stay covered important aspects of Berlin History. My 7-day "Authentic Bhutan" trip with Intriq Journey (January 2-8, 2025) was truly memorable, and a huge part of that was thanks to Jess our travel planner and Kesang our incredible guide. Traveling as a party of two, we felt incredibly well taken care of from the moment we landed in Paro.

Kesang was an absolute gem. His knowledge of Bhutanese history, culture, and traditions was profound, and he shared it with such passion and clarity. He seamlessly guided us through the bustling streets of Thimphu, explaining the significance of every site from the Textile Museum and the Great Buddha Dodernma to the National Memorial Chorten. He made our drive over the stunning Dochula Pass and its 108 chortens a memorable experience.

What truly set Kesang apart was his ability to tailor the experience to our interests without compromising the experience. The hike to Punakha Dzong via the "Butterfly Trail" was breathtaking. He ensured we had the perfect balance of cultural immersion, scenic beauty, and relaxation.

The hike to the iconic Tiger's Nest Monastery was the pinnacle of the trip, and Kesang's encouragement and insights made the challenging ascent incredibly rewarding. Beyond the major sights, he introduced us to the local way of life, heartwarming experience of lighting butter lamps and enjoying a delicious home-cooked lunch in an authentic farmhouse.

Kesang was not just a guide; he was a companion who enriched our understanding and appreciation of Bhutan at every turn. His professionalism, warmth, and genuine enthusiasm made this journey truly unforgettable.

We have just returned from a wonderful two weeks trip to Northern Pakistan (Skardu, Hunza, Swat, Peshawar, Islamabad). Apart from a memorable scenic flight to Skardu, the rest of our journey comprised a long 2000km road trip with a guide and driver and we experienced stunning scenery, diverse cultures, unsurpassed hospitality, short hikes and the right amount of adventure to keep us looking forward to each day!
We partnered travel consultant Steve Tan to make this all happen. Steve has arranged great trips for us to South America, Africa, India, Nepal and Burma over the years and we are impressed with his passion, efficiency and attention to details. He listens carefully to what our expectations are and makes sure the program is customised accordingly. He has been to practically all the places we speak about and hence able to give us very good insights and advice.
Intriq Journey partners a very experienced and efficient operator in Pakistan. The owner Mr Shafi paid close attention to our program checked in on us every day to make sure that things were going well.
We had a very knowledgeable and friendly guide Arshad who took great care of us and kept us safe, well-fed and excited about the places we visit.
Pakistan is an underrated destination with lots to offer. The places we visited were overwhelming in their uniqueness, natural beauty and historical significance. We were treated as honoured guests, unlike many countries today jaded by mass tourism.
It is a definitely a place we would look forward to revisiting one day!

The trip was well conducted. The local tour guides seem to know their jobs well and we enjoyed their explanation very much. If I may suggest, the tour guide should use a microphone / ear piece with channels to facilitate the explanation of the tour. (In a crowded area we could not really hear what the guide was saying especially when other tour groups were presence)
Also the foods quantity was way too excessive. Perhaps considering cutting down the quantity and save cost

The experience of culture and history in Xi'an was immersive. Waye crafted an itinerary that was conscientious and well paced. The trip kickstarted with a hand-holding visit to the very crowded Terracotta sites and Mausoleum, followed by a lunch with natives in a very local community. Whether it be appreciating the bell and drum tower, mounting Huashan, loitering through Datang Street, Southern cherry blossom town, Muslim Quarter or having a Tang Dynasty performance dinner, our assigned guide Vicky as well as driver 李姐 made certain to explain the significance of every moment, the behavior of the people and the context of the ancestry influencing modern day way of life. This in fact made our presence in Xi'an very meaningful, as if we are part of history, part of the energy of the city. Once more, intriq, you have outdone yourself!

We are so grateful that Intriq gave us 12 colorful days in Israel. Kok Yong, the guide, made sure every experience was immersively native but at the same time, filled each moment with comfort, luxury and surprise.

Every sighting, visit, activity was planned and timed carefully with so much visible prior coordination with locals in each city/ site/ destination we embarked on. Too much awe and marvel! From the floating adrift on the Dead Sea to the hike up Masada, the exploration sweep of Tel Aviv to endless walks at ancient and Unesco sites, the eye opening experience in Hebron, Gaza West Bank and earnest wail at The Western Wall to the dizzy pampering at Sixth Senses, the childlike Farm Stay with Alpacas to self reflecting Desert Stay with vast spaces...the list of garden variety adventures is too long to mention! And the food! Oh! Restaurant crawl was always a delight, allowing us to sample authentic Arabic, Kosher, French and street winners. But the most unforgettable unique meal was the "Upside Down" home-cooked lunch with a native host inside Palestine. The tradition and meaningful practices we get to engage in with the community most definitely "made our wishes come true"!

This is the first time we feel compelled to leave a review of a vacation agency. Because Intriq leaped from being good to being great for us, we plan to book many more trips with them in future!

We had a wonderful time travelling the north western part of China ( Ningxia, Gansu, Qinghai and Xinjiang) this September. The weather was comfortable even for the different altitudes. We enjoyed our sojourn tremendously! Travelling in this area was easier than we had anticipated as the roads and cars/ buses were excellent and the people were very helpful.
Ningxia has an amazing museum and the curator is very knowledgeable and gives a good insight to the long history of China and hence a pre-empt knowledge of the historical sites we are going to visit! (Nothing like seeing the archaeological treasures! ) The little known ( to us) “royal tombs” of the western Xia were another example of the engineering and construction prowess of the people of that time! The Xige winery built in this decade is just as impressive. Although the 2017 red wine is good the price tag is higher than expected!
The cities along the Hexi corridor are a must to visit, each city offering her own story!
From the gorgeous rainbow mountains to the ancient ruins of the Great Wall of the Han dynasty , from the 3rd/4th. tiered cities broad boulevards and tall modern residential blocks to garish billboards on gigantic shopping malls, it’s really an eye-opening experience not to be missed!
The lakes and salt lake up in Qinghai and Xinjiang are equally beautiful! This part of China boasts beautiful mountains and grasslands and huge expanse of desert! Yet amidst these different hostile landscapes, so many different ethnic groups thrive together for thousand of years , innovating to overcome the elements of nature! These days the Qinghai plateau is covered with thousands of wind turbines - astoundingly magnificent; technology harvesting the wind element!
Kashgar is still as busy and beautiful as when it was a hub in the Silk Road days!
Intriq Journey did a wonderful job providing us with dedicated English speaking guides and excellent hotels during our time there.
A small grouse-the public lavatories have more room for improvement and more handicapped toilets are needed;)

We had an opportunity to work with Waye on our trip to Cape Town in South Africa. He was very helpful and detailed in planning our trip for 13 pax. He also helped us to organise our agency dinner at the waterfront VA and we were very impressed with the food. The guide Stanston was friendly and knowledgeable and accommodating to our group’s dynamics. As this was our private tour, it was good without having strangers in our group and we had a lot of flexibility with our timing as we don’t have to rush so it was cater according to our own pace. We went to table mountain via the priority access without having to join long queues , took a cruise to seal island , went to boulder beach to see the cute penguins and ending our tour at cape of good hope! It was also great that lunch and dinner was planned for our big group in advance by Waye, as you can imagine it is not easy to walk in to a restaurant to accommodate 13 of us out of the blue. We had lobster /fish&chips/calamari for lunch and grilled meat at a steakhouse for dinner. Would definitely recommend Waye to our friends and family for their future trips.

Recently visited Chengdu, and had a fantastic day planned by Intriq Journey visiting the pandas, Sanxingdui and before ending the day at the Chengdu Opera House. A sure easy decision to be leaving the planning to the experts, especially when it was my first trip to China! The guide assigned to me and my wife, was detailed, extremely helpful and very mindful of what we would like achieved at the various sights. We had a great time and learned a lot from our guide Nicholas in Georgia who had a wicked sense of humor. Khachik, our Armenia guide was also very well versed in the history of the places we visited. We can’t stop thinking of our Kenyan safari adventure at the Masai Mara National Park last week, thanks to Adam who helped coordinate everything from airport transfer, domestic flights to surprising us with wine and room upgrade during part of our stay at andbeyond Kichwa Tembo. The views and entire experience were amazing! My special request was also executed, super appreciative of the attention to detail and customisation.

My family and I had a most enjoyable and meaningful time in Vietnam (central to south) from 09 to 14 December 2022. Even though we had visited this beautiful country during the rainy season, the weather did not dampen our spirits one bit. Thanks to Jess and Sheena, we were blessed with an unforgettable bespoke holiday itinerary that left us wanting more.

Following an exhilarating exploration of the countryside by bike in the morning and our first cooking lesson on Vietnamese cuisine with a local family in rural Hoi An (Tra Que village), our 7-year-old son requested for an ‘encore’ experience! Thankfully, we got a second opportunity to learn how to cook other authentic Vietnamese dishes from another awesome chef in Anantara Quy Nhon Villas later, but not before hand-picking and purchasing only the freshest seafood, poultry and vegetables with the chef from a local market first! The ‘real life’ farming and fishing experience with the locals was truly an eye-opener and highly-recommended for urban travelers/dwellers of all ages.

Apart from the exceptional hospitality of the locals, we thoroughly enjoyed the rail journey from Da Nang Railway Station to Quy Nhon ('The Vietage'). The beautiful sights and scenes of rural and urban Vietnam – coupled with the warm welcome that we received onboard – will remain fondly and forever etched in our hearts and minds.

Additionally, the 4WD experience in a well-restored Jeep (abandoned by the Americans upon their withdrawal from Vietnam in the 1970s) left us amazed and speechless, not only because we got the rare chance to explore rural Vietnam in an ‘antique’ vehicle used during a landmark event in the history of modern Vietnam but because the driver proved himself to be highly astute and experienced in navigating some very challenging terrains caused by the wet season with ease and competence.

All in all, we were most grateful for the team of local guides assigned to us as they were extremely attentive to our needs every step of our journey. They were very knowledgeable and communicated the ancient and modern histories of Vietnam – including but not limited to that relating to the Champa empire and the Vietnam War – eloquently and accurately in response to any questions that we had.

With each of our six days being so well-planned, well-spent and most memorable, it comes as no surprise that we are (already) looking forward to our next family trip with Intriq Journey (again) real soon!

I had booked two of my staycaytions in Singapore with Intriq and I’ve got to say that they have the best deals and service! Jess was extremely knowledgeable on which hotel would work for us and could give us good recommendations and advice. I booked a one night stay at Four Seasons Hotel Singapore with Winnie of Intriq Journey.
Communication was done via WhatsApp which was totally hassle free. Her reply was prompt and professional and all my queries were answered promptly. She also helped to pre-inform the hotel of my requests like an extra bed so that my family will be well taken care of.
The package cost just SGD 402.XX. It was a treat for the kids for the September school holidays. I have two kids, one 7yo and one 2yo so it's not easy to find a hotel that can accommodate all 2A2C in one room without extra charges. There was an extra bed (upon request) for my 7yo provided without incurring extra charges.
Booking under Intriq, the package consists of a USD100 complimentary F&B voucher which we used for dining at the hotel.
There is also free upgrade to the next room category (probably subjected to availability at time of check in, I can't remember). I had my room upgraded to the Boulevard room which had the view of Orchard Road (WOW!).
There's also a complimentary bottle of Prosecco waiting for us in the room!
Also included was a complimentary early check in at 12pm and late check out at 6pm the next day (since I only booked one night) which was very very rare!
What I also like about booking through Intriq is that cancellation at no charges before 6pm one day before arrival as having kids can mean being very dynamic and they can be well one moment and down with flu or fever the next and if we prepaid or if cancellation charges are incurred then I wouldn't have booked it in the first place.
Overall in covid times like these, this staycation was a good break for recharging and has me looking forward to the next booking with Intriq!!!
