KHABAROVSK, KAMCHATKA, VLADIVOSTOK

History & Culture, Nature & Wildlife

Highlights

  • Timed for the August salmon run, witness brown bears gathering at Kuril Lake in a rare and unforgettable natural spectacle.
  • Soar by helicopter over the Valley of Geysers, Eurasia’s only geyser field and the world’s second largest, accessible to very few.
  • Explore Khabarovsk, a rarely visited gem of the Russian Far East, where historic squares and the evocative Puyi House-Museum reveal its little-known heritage.
  • Set sail aboard a private charter yacht in Avacha Bay, with a freshly caught seafood lunch served on board.
  • Most fully inclusive arrangements and accompanied by Intriq’s Travel Concierge

The Russian Far East is a realm of vast wilderness, dramatic coastlines, and captivating history, where nature remains both untouched and extraordinary. At its heart lies Kamchatka, a spectacular volcanic peninsula of soaring peaks, steaming geysers, and pristine landscapes. In August, the wilderness comes alive with the annual salmon run, drawing brown bears to the rivers and lakes – one of nature’s greatest spectacles, and the finest time to witness these magnificent creatures in the wild. Here, raw beauty meets rare privilege, offering intimate encounters within one of the world’s last great wildernesses.

Framing this adventure are two captivating Far Eastern cities. Khabarovsk, with its rich cultural heritage, offers a graceful prelude steeped in tradition. Vladivostok, a vibrant Pacific port and the final stop on the legendary Trans-Siberian Railway, blends maritime charm with cosmopolitan flair. Together, they compose a journey that weaves culture, wilderness, and modern vitality into perfect harmony.
