This afternoon, we will depart from Rome Ostiense, drifting through the picturesque Italian countryside as you settle into your luxury train. After the sumptuous dinner, enjoy live music and entertainment or retreat into your peaceful sleep.
Today, you will arrive in the scenic town of Nizza Monferrato, famed for its UNESCO World Heritage vineyards. You have a choice to avail into one of the following experiences before re-embarking the train in the afternoon.
Experience a truffle hunting adventure in the Piedmontese hills accompanied by an expert hunter and their trusty truffle dogs. After the truffle hunting experience, you will enjoy a wine tasting experience at a renowned winery where you will also uncover insights into the different stages involved in crafting high-quality wines. The day concludes with a traditional Piedmontese lunch with truffles as the star ingredient.
Enjoy an exclusive opportunity to visit to the Underground Cathedrals of Canelli Winery, where fine Moscato d’Asti and Metodo Classico are carefully aged. This experience is complemented with tasting of local wines to learn about their exceptional aromas and characteristics, as well as a Piedmontese lunch.
Visit Tenuta Cucco, a historic wine-making estate nestled among centuries-old vineyards. Enjoy a guided tour of the Cru Cerrarti vineyard and the storied Vigna Cucco, which yields exceptional grapes that goes into the making of Piedmont’s most iconic red wines. Thereafter, traditional Piedmontese lunch ensues at the estate’s elegant dining hall with selection of exquisite local red wines. Thereafter, you will head to the aging cellar for a further look into the estate’s craftsmanship.
