Zambia offers astounding density and diversity of wildlife. Start your journey in South Luangwa, arguably the best place in the world to experience a walking safari. Marvel at the scenic Lower Zambezi where you can experience both land and water-based safari, before continuing to Kafue, Zambia’s largest national park which remains largely underexplored due to its remoteness. Finally, conclude your journey in Victoria Falls, a natural spectacle not to be missed.
Arriving to Lusaka, you will connect on your domestic flight to Mfuwe.

Few places in Africa offer the unique blend of grassy plains, enchanting woodlands, as well as pristine Luangwa River—a unique ecosystem that provides lifeline for abundant large mammals that ranks amongst the most intense anywhere in Africa. In addition to the usual game drives expected in safaris, South Luangwa is also renowned as the birthplace of walking safaris, a thrilling experience to get up and close to smaller creatures, trees and plants, as well as examining different wildlife tracks.

Depending on your accommodation choice, you will fly from Mfuwe to Jeki Airstrip or Royal Airstrip. Flights are typically seasonal, available between May and November.

Fed by the Zambezi River, the Lower Zambezi National Park is one of Africa’s most picturesque safari destinations. The scenic setting of the Zambezi River provides opportunity to do not only game drives, but also boating and canoeing safari along the river’s tributaries. Mighty herds of elephants, buffaloes and antelopes are often seen along the river’s edge to slake their thirst, attracting the predators into the river’s circle of life.

Blessed by abundant river flow, the Busanga Plains in Kafue National Park is one of Zambia’s most significant wetland resources. Largely untouched by human activities, the Busanga Plains is home to the largest diversity of mammal species in Zambia, including 55 large mammals, 20 ungulates and 6 cat species! Predators are prolific in this area, including the unusual tree-climbing lions and the highly endangered wild dog packs.
