14 DAYS CHILE PANORAMA
Santiago, Atacama, Chiloe Island, Puerto Varas & Torres Del Paine
Gourmet & Wine, Outdoor & Adventure
Traverse through the narrow strip of Chile’s unique geography. From the world’s driest desert in the Far North Andes to snow-capped Patagonian steppes in the Deep South just outside of Antarctica, Mother Nature has bestowed Chile with some its finest creations.
This trip is designed to include both the first-time highlights, as well as the hidden gems not known to many. From the famed Lake District, we venture further into the Chiloé Archipelago with its indigenous-meets-European culture, iconic stilt villages and UNESCO churches.
Arriving into Santiago International Airport, you will be transferred to the city. Visit Plaza de Armas where you will find the Santiago Metropolitan Cathedral, Post Office and National Museum. Continue through Alameda Avenue to admire the San Francisco Church, National Library and La Moneda. Head to Cerro San Cristobal and the hilltop Blessed Virgin Mary statue, Club Hipico and Cousino Palace.
Set out to the breezy Valparaiso port (UNESCO) with its colourful urban houses, hidden staircase and antique gondolas. Continue to the rolling countryside and vineyards of Vina de Mar, also known as the Garden City. Pass by the Quinta Vergara and Carrasco Palace before returning to Santiago.
This morning, board your flight to Calama. On arrival, you will be transferred to your all-inclusive lodge with plethora of excursions to choose from!
Holding claim as the world’s driest desert, Atacama is surprisingly diverse in landscapes. Hike, bike, horse-ride or take 4WD drive into giant sand dunes, boiling geysers, salt pillars, jagged canyons, smoking volcanoes or local villages!
This morning, board your flight from Calama to Puerto Montt. Explore the cathedral, seafood market and Angelmó handicrafts market before driving to your hotel in Puerto Varas right at the heart of the Lake District.
Driving along Lake Llanquihue to Frutillar, we will make a short visit to the German Colonial Museum and Teatro Del Lago. Continue to Puerto Octay to soak in the quaint traditional houses made of wooden shingles. Thereafter, we head to Vicente Pérez Rosales National Park to admire the turquoise-shaded Petrohué River Falls and the snow-capped Volcano Osorno.
This morning, drive 3.5 hours via the small fishermen cove of Caulin known for its oyster farming and the bayside city of Ancud which was the Spanish empire’s last stronghold in the Americas before the colonies were liberated. Arriving into your all-inclusive accommodation in Chiloe Island (UNESCO), you may have time for a half-day excursion. We recommend half-day Castro tour to discover the UNESCO-listed churches and the iconic stilt houses.
Choose from a range of full-day excursion, such as discovering the indigenous Chiloe culture in Quinchao Island and Dalcahue, or hiking the hidden corners of coastal Chepu to the “Pier of Light”. Depending on your choice of accommodation, there are many activities to choose from!
Enjoy morning activities such as kayaking across the Pullao Marsh, often blessed with migratory bird sightings of long-billed curlews, cormorants and flamingos. Transfer to Puerto Montt airport for your flight to Punta Arenas.
Early morning, we drive 4 hours into Torres Del Paine National Park. Depending on your choice of all-inclusive lodge, you will either stay inside the park or based in the nearby Puerto Natales.
Choose your excursions from a range of treks, horsebacks rides and overland drives to discover the cascading waterfalls, sprawling glaciers, jagged mountains, dense forests and a chance encounter with the Patagonian guanaco in one of the world’s most beautiful destinations.
Today, we drive to Punta Natales to fly into Santiago, where you will connect with your international flight home.
