Ethiopia is one of the world’s most ancient civilizations, a land where history, faith, and living traditions intertwine across dramatic highland landscapes. This immersive journey follows Ethiopia’s classic historic route, tracing royal capitals, sacred churches, and UNESCO-listed wonders while offering privileged insight into the country’s enduring cultural identity. From sacred highland sanctuaries to medieval mountain strongholds, Ethiopia reveals itself as both profoundly spiritual and strikingly diverse.

Highlights include Lalibela’s rock-hewn churches, the castles of Gondar, Lake Tana’s island monasteries, and Addis Ababa’s national treasures. More than a sightseeing itinerary, this is an immersive encounter with Ethiopia’s spiritual traditions, ceremonial life, and enduring sense of place.

In the afternoon, visit Debre Berhan Selassie Church, celebrated for its vividly painted interior and iconic ceiling of winged angels. Conclude the day by enjoying a hosted Ethiopian family-style dinner, offering an intimate introduction to the country’s cuisine and hospitality - an experience shaped as much by shared ritual as by flavour, colour, and tradition.
