Free at Leisure in Arctic Treehouse Hotel

The day is free at leisure for you to enjoy Rovaniemi. Throughout your stay in the Arctic Treehouse Hotel, you will have complimentary use of toboggans, kick sleds, snow shoes, ski shoes and fat bikes, so you may want to take the opportunity to explore the forested trails around your accommodation. There is also an ice-skating track which is available for you to experience on complimentary basis.

Aurora Reindeer Tour (Shared)

Meet your reindeers to learn the captivating stories about reindeer herding and let your loved ones feed the reindeers. As your ride into the magical night of the Arctic moonlight on the sledge for approximately 35-40 minutes, you may want to glance into the sky every now and then, as you may just be lucky enough to see the Northern Lights dancing above you! You will arrive at a traditional hut known as kota, where you will enjoy some hot drinks by the campfire. This session typically starts from 7.30pm and lasts for 2 hours, including transportation time from/to your accommodation.

This activity is recommended between December to March (weather permitting). If you would like, we can also arrange a fully private tour at an additional cost.

Option 1: Private Toy Factory Magic with Santa Claus & Elf

Let us whisk you deep into a peaceful forest where Santa’s secret Toy Factory is kept. Your family will be welcomed by an elf, who will guide your family through the interactive and delightful activities at the Toy Factory. Your new forest friend will reveal secrets of real woodwork, the art of making world’s most desired toys and uncover the biggest book of goodness. Finally, your family will get to enjoy a private meeting with the Santa Claus himself, who is ready with a present in hand for every child! This experience lasts approximately 2 hours, including private return transportation from/to your accommodation.

This activity is recommended between November and January. To make the experience extra special for your loved ones, we recommend that you provide some information about your loved ones in advance.

Option 2: Shared Arctic Floating & Private Traditional Lappish Sauna Experience

Experience the joy of floating at a secluded forested location by Lake Sierijärvi. A warm, floating suit will be provided to get you ready to glide into the crispy lake and let your body flow along the lake’s surface. Thereafter, enjoy a delicious snack and warm drinks served in traditional kuksa by the campfire on a traditional Lappish teepee. This session lasts for 3 hours, including transportation time from/to your accommodation. This activity is recommended between December to March (weather permitting). If you would like, we can also arrange a fully private tour at an additional cost.

Thereafter, you may experience the traditional Lappish sauna culture as you step into our premium cabin with the soothing aroma of natural wood, which are pairable with optional essential oils of forest-inspired scents, such as pine, eucalyptus or cedarwood. This experience is designed to promote therapeutic heat therapy, improve blood circulation and eliminate toxins from your body. If you are feeling adventurous, you can alternate between dipping into the fresh snow and relaxing into the soft heat of the sauna. After the cleansing ritual, you may retreat into the cosy lounge to unwind with a refreshing wellness drink and small snacks. This session lasts for 2 hours.

Transfer: Rovaniemi to Levi

You will be transferred to your accommodation in Levi.

Private Snowshoeing Adventure

Breathe in the fresh Arctic air as you explore the pristine landscape of Finnish lapland on a snowshoeing adventure. Your guide will lead you through a trail, customised to ensure the hike fits your pacing and preferences. Boots, overalls and snowshoes will be provided.

Shared Snowmobile Northern Lights Adventure with BBQ

Chase the magical Northern Lights under the evening sky, passing through the best vantage points. Boots, overalls, helmets, gloves and balaclava will be provided.
