16 July 2027 (Fri) Antananarivo / Ranohira
Journey to Ranohira
Transfer to the airport. Soar over Madagascar's changing landscapes on a private charter flight (approx. 2h) to the dramatic terrain of Ranohira. On arrival, transfer to your lodge nestled among the sandstone mountains. Later, drive to the Window of Isalo to admire its spectacular views
17 July 2027 (Sat) Ranohira
Exploring Isalo National Park
Often dubbed “Isalo Jurassic Park” or the “Malagasy Colorado,” the region’s towering canyons and surreal sandstone formations are as rich in geological wonder as they are in biodiversity. Among its residents are five lemur species, including the elegant Verreaux’s sifaka and the iconic ring-tailed lemur.
Set out early to make the most of the cooler hours, when wildlife is at its most active. After a drive of approximately 30 minutes, spend the day exploring Isalo on foot, taking in its landscapes and looking out for lemurs and other wildlife. A simple BBQ lunch will be served in the park, followed by an optional walk to one of its cascades for those seeking a more active hike.
18 July 2027 (Sun) / Isalo NP / Morondava
Natural Highlights of Morondava
This morning, fly by private plane to Morondava (approx. 1h 15min), located on Madagascar’s west coast and the gateway to some of the island’s most iconic natural landscapes.
On arrival, visit the famed Avenue of the Baobabs, home to a striking collection of towering baobab trees. Madagascar is home to 5 of the world’s 6 baobab species, 4 of which are endemic to the island.
Later, an optional excursion to Kirindy Reserve offers the chance to explore its dry deciduous forest, renowned for its rich biodiversity. Look out for endemic species including lemurs, colourful chameleons and other wildlife. Due to the remote setting and road conditions, this excursion is optional.
In the late afternoon, return to the Avenue of the Baobabs to enjoy a scenic sundowner as the setting sun casts a warm glow over this unforgettable landscape.
19 July 2027 (Mon) Morondava / Tsingy De Bemaraha NP
The Tsingy de Bemaraha Strict Nature Reserve
Start early this morning as we board our private charter flight (approx. 45min) to Tsingy de Bemaraha National Park.
Named after the Malagasy word meaning “to walk on tiptoe,” the Tsingy’s jagged limestone formations form a surreal and nearly impenetrable landscape. Today, explore either the Petit Tsingy, offering scenic hikes and easier access, or opt for the more strenuous Grand Tsingy, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its dramatic landscapes and challenging terrain.
20 July 2027 (Tue) Tsingy De Bemaraha NP / Anjajavy
Setting Off to Anjajavy
Return to the Bemaraha Airstrip for our charter flight (approx. 2.5h including a refueling stop) to Anjajavy, a secluded peninsula on Madagascar’s northwest coast, accessible only by air.
Our destination is the exclusive Relais & Châteaux resort, tucked within its own private reserve and bordered by the azure waters of the Mozambique Channel. With its refined service and remote beauty, it offers an ideal setting to conclude our Madagascar journey, though there is still much to discover.
This evening, explore the forest by moonlight. As darkness falls, the reserve reveals its hidden inhabitants: mouse lemurs, lepilemurs, dwarf lemurs, chameleons, and an array of night birds.
21 July 2027 (Wed) Anjajavy
Anjajavy Reserve
Step into an unforgettable adventure within the Anjajavy Reserve as you journey to Antafiamoara – a remote village cradled between limestone tsingy, lush mangroves, and tropical forest. Here lies the heart of the lodge’s most ambitious conservation effort: Madagascar’s only megafauna reintroduction program, featuring the majestic Aldabra giant tortoises.
Continue on a guided walking safari through the forest, with the chance to encounter lemurs, diverse bird species, reptiles, and a wide range of plant life that thrive in this unique ecosystem.
22 July 2027 (Thu) Anjajavy
Moramba Bay Boat Trip
Be swept away by the charm of Moramba Bay, where towering baobabs, untouched beaches, and quirky islets await discovery on a scenic boat excursion along the northwest coast. If water conditions are favorable, enjoy a bit of snorkeling. Afterwards, spend the rest of the afternoon at leisure.
23 July 2027 (Fri) Anjajavy / Departure from Antananarivo
