Arrival in Kunming

Car Transfer: Airport to Hotel

Arriving at Kunming Changshui International Airport, you will be transferred by a private car to your accommodation. Kunming is the capital of Yunnan and is famous for its rich tapestry of historical and cultural heritage. The rest of the day is free at leisure.

Kunming / Honghegu

Car Transfer: Kunming to Honghegu

As the new day beckons, you will be transferred approximately 270km / 5 hours to Honghegu. Relish for the rest of your afternoon at your glamping tent nestled within the Shitouzhai archaeological ruins and adjacent to the Honghe Hani terraced fields. Experience the pounded glutinous rice cake, embroidery handicrafts or spas

Meidong Village Experience

We dedicate the day to explore the ancient Hani village of Meidong. Walk along the rice terraces, try your hand at catching fishes and conclude with a beautiful sunset.

Honghegu / Yuanyang

Car Transfer: Honghegu to Yuanyang

Today, you will be transferred approximately 70km / 3 hours to Yuanyang, right at the heart of the Honghe Hani Terrace area.

Yuanyang’s Best Villages

You will visit Jingkou Folk Village, the fishpond terraces of Dayutang, the mushroom residences of Quanfuzhuang Village, the spectacular tea field at the back mountain of Mali Village, the panoramic terraced villages and river valley of Luomadian Terrace, before concluding with sunset over Bada Terrace.

Yuanyang / Jianshui

Car Transfer: Yuanyang to Jianshui via Azheke Village

After checking out, you will be transferred approximately 43 km or 1.5 hours to Azheke Village, an ancient Hani settlement on the slopes of Ailao Mountain. Thereafter, we drive 150km / 3.5 hours to Jianshui.

Jianshui: Rail & Bridge

Delve into history with a visit to the 100-year-old meter-gauge railway with optional train ride to Linan (at own expense). Finally, conclude your day with a captivating sunset at Shuanglong Bridge.

Highlights of Jianshui

Visit Zhujia Garden, an estate and ancestral hall built by Zhu Weiqing, a squire of the late Qing Dynasty. Marvel at Yunnan’s largest and most complete Confucian temple at Jianshui Confucian Temple and find out why Daban Well is called “the first well in Southern Yunnan”. Thereafter, you will visit the French-inspired Xianghuiqiao Station and the quintessential traditional Han family village of Tuanshan.

Jianshui / Kunming

Car Transfer: Jianshui to Kunming Airport

You will be driven 180km / 3.5 hours back to Kunming airport for your onwards flight. If time permits, we can also arrange a visit to Dounan Flower Market, the largest freshly-cut flower market in Asia.
