Here, you can appreciate the primitive and ancient nature, as well as the exotic customs of the Sino-Russian and Sino-Mongolian borders.
This trip traverses through the boundless grasslands of Inner Mongolia and the jungles of the Greater Khingan Mountains. Experience our finest selection of authentic experiences, such as meeting China’s last hunting tribe and BBQ camping on the banks of the grassland lake to admire the starry sky and the infinite charm of the grasslands.

Upon arrival, your guide will meet you at the airport, then transfer another 60km/1.5hrs into your exotic accommodation in the Muyun Resort. You may participate in the hotel’s nomadic activities (additional cost applies), which replicates the real-life nomads’ lives based on nature, love of grassland and ecological protection.

Explore Morigele River
Rise early for breathtaking sunrise over the Morigele River. We then traverse the expansive Morigele Grassland. Derived from the Mongolian term meaning “a meandering river”, the Morigele River is hailed as “the Most Serpentine River Under Heaven” as it is blessed with over 1,800 natural bends.
Transfer: Muyun Peak to Genhe via Ergun Wetland
Drive 100km/2hrs across the grassland of galloping horses, Haji and Qiyi before arriving at Asia’s #1 wetland: Ergun Wetland at the northern end of the Hulunbuir grassland. After visiting Ergun Wetland for 1.5 hours, you will be driven130km/2hrs to Genhe and check into the hotel for rest. Tonight, you will stay at the Cuoluozi Camp Hotel (撮罗子营地), a unique accommodation featuring the traditional conical tents of the Ewenki ethnic group.

Visit Aoluguya Ewenki Reindeer Herding Tribe
This morning, we will visit China’s last hunting tribe, they have lived in harmony with reindeer, passing down the centuries-old art of reindeer herding for over 300 years. Many of their folk traditions, such as birch bark crafting and Shaman dance, have been inscribed on the National Intangible Cultural Heritage List.
Transfer to Shiwei via Mo’erdaoga
This afternoon, we will drive for 130km/2.5 hours to Mo’ergaga Town for sightseeing. Thereafter, you will be driven 80km/1.5hrs to Shiwei and check into the hotel for rest.
Mo’ergaga Forest Train (1.5 Hours)
Board the Mo’ergaga Forest Train and embark on a 10-kilometer journey through the primeval forest sea. This sightseeing train, converted from a former log-hauling locomotive, winds its way through the heart of the Greater Khingan Range.

Shiwei Immersion
Rise early for sunrise on Ergun River, with morning fog engulfing the quiet Russian town. After breakfast, you can see the Shiwei Friendship Bridge from afar. The first permanent bridge between China and Russia has an annual cargo of 20,000 tons.
Transfer: Shiwei to Heishantou via Enhe
Drive 100km/2h to Ulan Mountain Tai Chi Bay with its unique Sino-Russian Qatar line landscape, similar to Taiji Eight Diagrams from high altitude. Then we will drive for an hour to Sunset Hill, the highest mountain around Heishantou Town and a perfect spot to watch the sunrise and sunset.

Take a wooden plank walk through Lev Wetland Manor. See the Lion Bay named after the Gulf Stream and the Leo-like symbol, the Taptou Ping which was formed for thousands of years, the Shamina Bridge and the landscape platform. Drive across beautiful grassland with a stop at 186 Ribbon River at the bank of Erguna

Transfer: Heishantou to Manzouli
In the afternoon, we drive 210km/3.5h to Manzhouli, a border port city where Chinese and Western cultures blend.
Manzhouli Discovery
Visit Matryoshka Plaza, a large-scale Russian park, including Matryoshka World, Fun Zone, Matryoshka Theater, Russian Folklore Experience Hall, Russian-Mongolian Performing Arts Theater and Xtreme Paradise. Visit the Gothic-styled Manzhouli Wedding Palace and join a Matryoshka DIY workshop.
In the evening, you can walk to the Sino-Russian commercial pedestrian street. Brightly lit at night, you can purchase Chinese and Russian specialties.

A Further Look at Manzhouli
Start at Manzhouli National Gate, comprising of National Gate, No. 41 Boundary Monument, Red Tourism Exhibition Hall, Six Exhibition Halls of the Communist Party of China and Manzhouli Red Secret Communication Line relics. After that, visit Zalainuoer Museum to learn about Zalainuoer civilization and culture.
Transfer: Manzhouli to Hairlar via Hulun Lake
Drive 38km/45m to Hulun Lake, Inner Mongolia’s largest lake set in the west of Hulunbuir grassland. Then we will drive through the Daqingshan Mountains and Hailar River Wetlands to return to Hailar.

Free at leisure, then you will be transferred to the airport for your onward journey.

Horse Fitting & Equestrian Guidance
After savoring the signature dishes such as the authentic traditional Mongolian stone-roasted meat – we’ll kick off the equestrian training: Safety Knowledge Training, Riding Skill Assessment, In-field Trial Ride, Initial Attempt at Posting Trot. You will be assigned a suitable horse based on your height, weight, age and equestrian skill level. Conclude the day with a lavish whole roasted lamb on the grassland.

Introduction to the Grassland
Today’s key training involves familiarizing with the horse’s gaits and the essentials of holding and controlling the reins; finding your center of gravity and balance; consolidating and mastering the key movements of posting trot.
Set off to the herdsmen’s summer pastures, enjoy picnic at a riverside camp, and ride toward a cliff’s summit to admire the panoramic view of the Morigele River. In the evening, return to the camp for a hearty grassland barbecue. After dinner, enjoy band performance with guitars, horsehead fiddles and hand drums.

Into the Hat Mountain
Today’s training will help you practice trot and walk during wild riding; riding uphill, downhill and across rivers; as well as controlling the horse using your body’s center of gravity.
Ride along the banks of the Morigele River into the Hat Mountain.
Head to another herdsman’s home, passing through a vast ten-thousand-mu grassland to gain an insight into the authentic life of local herdsmen.

Along the Riverbank
Today, you will learn more about Canter Posting and Speed Control.
Ride across the Morigele River into an Ewenki herdsman’s home, gather around the fire in a yurt, sip a bowl of milk tea, and experience the authentic daily life of the pastoral area. In the afternoon, we will gallop by the river and walk barefoot to the riverbank for a leisurely moment by the water. Back at the camp, we’ll savor grassland copper hot pot for dinner.

A Farewell Ride on the Grassland
Today’s training equips you with skills to Transitions and Switches between Walk, Trot and Canter.
Put the equestrian knowledge learned over the past four days into practice, continuously consolidate your skills and build up muscle memory.
Return to the camp for lunch, then we’ll pack our luggage, bid farewell to the Barga Grassland, and head to the airport for our return journey.
