Upon arrival in Cairo, enjoy lunch before we discover the surprising Coptic Cairo heritage including the Hanging Church built into the walls of the water gate, and Abu Serga where the Holy Family was rested after fleeing Israel.
Later, enjoy private entrance to The Egyptian Museum after it closes to the public, visit the whole museum including King Tut golden mask room, just for the group.
While the pyramids are the highlights of Cairo, the city was also one of the greatest Islamic Centres of the medieval period and one of the world’s oldest Christian communities. We will explore Islamic Cairo, and Khan El Khalili Bazaar, a large bustling open-air bazaar.
Afterwards, transfer to the airport for your domestic flight to Luxor.
Luxor is the capital of ancient Egypt during its most glorious period of the New Kingdom. It is befittingly referred to as the world’s biggest outdoor museum. We spend a full day at the West Bank today.
Explore the Valley of the Kings and Queens. Admire the exquisite ancient artwork on the murals of the tombs of Pharoah such as Seti I, Ramses V & VI and King Tut as well as Queen Nefetari. Then, visit Queen Hatshepsut Temple and the Colossi of Memnon.
This morning, drive about 1.5 hour to the temple complex at Dendera and visit the Temple of Hathor, one of the best-preserved ancient Egypt monuments.
Drive back to Luxor and board the luxurious Nile Cruise, Historia where we will stay for four nights. In the afternoon, we will dwell deeper into Egyptian history with a visit to the Luxor Museum.
A sight to behold today would be the Karnak Temple, which is the largest religious building ever been constructed, over the course of two thousand years.
Our cruise set sail in the afternoon for Esna. Relax and enjoy the scenery of the rural life along the Nile.
Today, continue to enjoy our Historia Cruise journey and visit another two stunning ancient Egyptian monuments – the Ptolemic Temple of Horus at Edfu and the unusual Temple of Kom Ombo that was unusually dedicated to two gods.

Take an excursion by flight to Abu Simbel. The colossus statues of Ramses II and Nefatari set by the lake is indeed a sight to behold. This is also perhaps UNESCO most amazing effort to save a monument.

Fly back to Cairo this morning. Drive to Saqarra to visit the Step Pyramid of Zoser and a private entry into Wahtye’s Tomb that was untouched for almost 4,500 years till its discovery only in late 2018.

The only surviving and oldest of the 7 wonders of the ancient world – the Pyramid of Giza, a site not to be missed! We will have the opportunity to have a private sunrise visit to appreciate the beauty of the three pyramids and the Great Sphinx of Giza without crowd.
Head to the brand new Grand Egyptian Museum in Giza that will be the world’s largest archaeological museum, opening in late 2023 (subject to change of opening date; pre-opening visit time is limited to one hour).
Visit the relatively new National Museum of Egyptian Civilization, offers visitor a general overview of all the different historical periods that encompass Egypt.
