Set just south of the Yangtze river, Jiangnan has historically flourished as the wealth bowl of China, but it also harbours quaint countryside. This itinerary takes us through rural Anhui, Jiangxi and Zhejiang.
In Anhui, we visit the Yellow Mountain (Huangshan) as romanticized by Chinese painters and poets across the centuries. Continue to Jiangxi with its quaint Huizhou architectures and seasonal bloom of flowers. Immerse into the grand tradition of pottery making in Jingdezhen and conclude with optional boat ride in Zhejiang's Thousand Islands Lake.

Arrival in Tunxi / Huangshan
Upon arrival in Tunxi airport, you will be transferred to your hotel in Huangshan (Yellow Mountain) scenic area. Enjoy the rest of the day free at leisure to explore your surroundings.
Huangshan
Spend the day immersing into the area’s deep Huizhou architecture and heritage with one of the following two options.
Option 1: Classic Huizhou
Snake along the ancient waterways of UNESCO-listed Hongcun, discover the bamboo forests of Mukeng where Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon was shot before concluding at Xidi’s ancient wooden residences (UNESCO).
Option 2: Off-the-Beaten Huizhou
Seemingly frozen in time is the magnificent Chengkan set amidst cobalt slopes. Continue to Tangyue with its seven memorial archways, two ancestral halls and bonsai garden. Conclude in the little-known Lingshan with its ancient water street, bamboo scenery and vibrant weaving culture.
Huangshan / Top of Huangshan
Set off on a shuttle transfer (on shared basis in the national park area) and cable car to the top of the mountain. Choose from one of the below two walking options to explore this scenic mountain.
Option 1: Yellow Mountain Highlights
Explore spell-binding scenes of Xihai (West Sea) such as the Bright Peak and Cloud Dispelling Pavilion, as well as Beihai’s Lion Peak or Refreshing Terrace.
Option 2: Active Grand Canyon Hike (2-3 hours)
This less-touristed route takes you through the Grand Canyon area, including a Funicular into the central area, passing through viewpoint of Bright Summit and Flying Rock. Please wear sturdy shoes as this route involve a lot of stairs.
Top of Huangshan / Wuyuan
A new day beckons as with sunrise above the clouds of Beihai area. Descend by cable car and transfer to Wuyuan to visit Crescent Moon Bay followed by cable car to Huangling. Hike the village to see local produces laid on roofs, or into a glass bridge with a view of the terrace. The village is suitable for year-round visit, but especially stunning in spring rapeseed season or autumn.

Choose from one of below two excursions:
Option 1: Jingdezhen Pottery Heritage
Famed as the country’s porcelain capital, Jingdezhen has produced Chinese ceramics for over 1,000 years. Visit the Ancient Kiln Folk Customs Museum, attend a DIY pottery workshop and stroll along Tao Xi Chuan Art District.
Option 2: Wuyuan Hike
Hike to a viewpoint on a small slope opposite Jujing to see China’s roundest village. Thereafter, enjoy a 6km roundtrip hike on Wolong (Crouching Dragon) Valley across boulder-strewn river and cliff-side waterfalls.
Wuyuan / Departure from Tunxi
Transfer to Tunxi Airport for your flight home. If time permits, we can visit the ink stick factory and stroll along Tunxi Old Street with its gorgeous architectures harking back to the times of Ming and Qing dynasties.
