Luxor is the capital of ancient Egypt during its most glorious period of the New Kingdom. It is befittingly referred to as the world’s biggest outdoor museum. We will spend the next 3 days here exploring its amazing archaeological treasure. We start with Luxor Temple, one of the best examples of the great archaeological marvel of that era.
We spend a full day at the West Bank today.
Explore the Valley of the Kings and Queens. Admire the exquisites ancient art works on the murals of the tombs of Pharoah such as Seti I , Ramses V & VI and King Tut as well as Queen Nefetari. You will also visit Queen Hatsheput Temple and the Colossi of Memnon.
This morning, we visit the Temple of Hathor and the complex at Dendera, one of the best-preserved ancient Egypt monuments. In the afternoon, dwell deeper into history in the Luxor Museum.
Our luxurious Nile Cruise, Historia welcome us today with an evening cocktail. And tonight, we are treated to the Light & Sound show at Karnak Temple.
Our last sight in Luxor is also the highlight – Karnak Temple. This is the largest religious building ever been constructed!
Our cruise set sail in the afternoon for Esna. Relax and enjoy the scenery of the rural life along the Nile.
Today, continue to enjoy our Historia Cruise and visit another 2 stunning ancient Egyptian monuments – the Ptolemic Temple of Horus at Edfu and the unusual Temple of Kom Ombo that was dedicated to 2 gods.
Historia arrives at Aswan today. Beautifully set at the first Cataract, Aswan is blessed with lovely setting and abundant historical sites.
You will visit the unfinished obelisk & the Temple of Philae. And enjoy sailing on the Felucca (traditional sail boat) on the Nile stopping at Kitchener Island & the Mausoleum of Agha Khan.
