Transfer: Airport to Accommodation

Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your accommodation in Prague.

Prague’s Castle District

Serving as the residence of the head of state, the Prague Castle houses a superb gallery and treasury. Other highlights include Strahov Monastery’s famous library, the Baroque pilgrimage of the Loreta-Treasury, St. Vitus Cathedral, the miniature houses of Golden Lane and the famous Charles Bridge. The historic centre of Prague is inscribed into the UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Jewish Heritage of Prague

Discover the monuments of Jewish life in Vienna’s First district, such as the Memorial Against War and Fascism at the Albertinaplatz, as well as the Holocaust Memorial and Judenplatz Museum at the Judenplatz Square. Stroll along the Seitenstettengasse and pass by the exterior of the Main Synagogue “Stadttempel”. In Leopoldstadt, Vienna’s Second district, there is an active Jewish community which had sprung following another Jewish incident. Please note this tour is not available on Saturdays.

Karlstejn Castle

Founded and built by Emperor Charles IV, you will visit the medieval gothic Karsltejn Castle. The castle is a depository for imperial coronation jewels, state documents, as well as the Holy Roman Empire treasures. Karlstejn Castle is inscribed under the tentative list of UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Please note that due to its location, Karlstejn Castle is more physically demanding and good walking shoes are recommended. Karlstejn Castle is closed on Mondays. It can be visited only on weekends in February.

Transfer: Prague to Heralec via Kutna Hora

Today, you will be transferred from Prague to Heralec with sightseeing at Kutna Hora.

Historic Centre of Kutna Hora

Enjoy a tour of the historical centre of the UNESCO-listed Kutna Hora which prospered from rich silver deposits. Highlights include the Gothic-styled Church of St. Barbara with frescoes depicting the life in a mining town, as well as the Cathedral of Our Lady at Sedlec that was renovated in the Baroque style.

Excursion to Litomyšl & Zelená Hora

Visit the UNESCO-listed Litomysl, including Litomysl Castle which is constructed in Renaissance style. This historical eastern Bohemian town is probably one of the most progressive in blending historical and modern architectural styles. You will also visit the Pilgrimage Church of St John of Nepomuk at Zelená Hora (UNESCO), designed in a unique blend of Gothic and Baroque architectural traditions.

Transfer: Heralec to Vienna via Trebic and Telc

You will be transferred from Heralec to Vienna with sightseeing stops at Trebic and Telc.

Trebic’s Jewish Past

Located along the Jihlava river, the town of Trebic is listed under UNESCO for its well-preserved Jewish Quarter that dates back to the Middle Ages, as well as the St. Procopius Basilica which was built in the early 13^th century as part of a Benedictine monastery.

A Dive into Telc’s Heritage

The quaint historic centre of Telc (UNESCO) is flanked by a Renaissance castle which was a precursor of Gothic architecture, as well as a triangular market square surrounded by Renaissance and Baroque burgher houses.

Vienna City Tour

This tour will take you to major historical sights along the Ringstrasse such as the State Opera, the National Museums, the Parliament, the City Hall, the Burgtheater and the University. It will also take you inside the majestic rooms of the UNESCO-listed Schonbrunn Palace, former summer residence of the Habsburg family.

Viennese Architecture Tour

Get acquainted with the city’s architectural heritage, starting from the Secession where you can see the famous “Beethoven Frieze” by Gustav Klimt, the Wienzeile-Houses which were designed by Otto Wagner, the St. Charles Borromeus Church which is a prime example of Austrian Baroque landmark, as well as Kunsthaus for an insider’s look into the philosophy of Friedensreich Hundertwasser.

Imperial Palace Walking Tour (Half Day)

Explore the historic centre of Vienna (UNESCO), capital of Habsburg Empire for nearly 650 years. Visit the Imperial Apartments and the Sisi Museum. Next to the Imperial Palace are landmarks such as the St. Augustine’s Church and the Spanish Riding School.

Today, you may choose from one of the following options:

Option 1: Wachau Valley

Inscribed into the UNESCO, the Wachau Valley is a remarkably picturesque section of the Danube Valley. Visit the Benedictine Abbey of Melk. Enjoy a relaxing boat ride on the Danube that takes you across steep vineyards, apricot orchards and castle ruins. Visit Durnstein, where King Richard the Lionheart of England was once held as a prisoner in, as well as the former merchants’ town of Krems.

Option 2: Graz Excursion

Explore the charming city of Graz, Austria’s second largest city brimming with history and culture. Enjoy a walking tour through its historic old town (UNESCO) with picturesque square, impressive Landhaus façade, and narrow medieval streets. From the iconic Clock Tower on Schlossberg Hill, enjoy excellent views over the red rooftops of the city. Time permitting, you may be able to relax at a local café or shop for regional specialities before returning to Vienna.

Transfer: Vienna to Budapest via Bratislava and Pannonhalma

You will be transferred from Vienna to Budapest with sightseeing stops at Bratislava and Pannonhalma.

Bratislava Old Town

Enjoy a tour of the old town of Bratislava, the young capital of Slovakia. Highlights include St. Martin’s Cathedral where 11 Austro Hungarian monarchs were crowned, the Opera House, Reduta, the Mains Square, St. Michael’s Gate, the Primatial Palace, the Old Town Hall, the Franciscan Chruch and the unique blue painted St. Elisabeth Church.

Pannonhalma Abbey

A UNESCO World Heritage site founded by Benedictine monks in 996, the Pannonhalma Abbey in Hungary played a significant role in the diffusion of Christianity in Hungary and Central Europe.

Buda Castle District

Enjoy a walking tour through Buda Castle District’s cobblestone streets and medieval squares, passing through major areas such as the Royal Palace, the Presidential Palace, the Holy Trinity Square, the Hess Andras Square, as well as the Matthias Church of Our Lady and the Fishermen’s Bastion.

On the Traces of Communism

Step into the city’s darkest past, visiting the House of Terror which is a memorial dedicated to the victims of the Hungarian fascist and communist dictatorial regimes from the 20^thcentury. You will also visit the Memento Park for insights into how politically neutral means of arts were used to emphasize the dignity of democracy and the responsibility of historical thinking.

The Pest Side & the Hungarian Parliament

Located on the Eastern side of the city, you will uncover the rich history of Pest as you stroll pass by the St. Stephen’s Basilica, State Opera, the Hungarian Parliament, Liberty Square and Central Market Hall. A short excursion by the Millennium metro line will take you to the Heroes’ Square where the Millennium Monument is located.

We have also included entrance to the Hungarian Parliament. Please note that you will need to submit your passport and confirm the visiting time at least 2 weeks before. The parliament reserves the right to change the entrance fees and cancel guided tours without notice.

The Danube Bend

One of the most picturesque regions in Hungary, you will visit the villages where the Danube breaks through the Börzsöny and Visegrádi mountains. You will visit Esztergom Basilica (the largest Basilica in Europe and the highest building in Hungary), the impressive Fortress of the fortified Middle Age town of Visegrad with its historical exhibitios, as well as Mediterranean artists’ town of Szentendre. Time permitting, you can also visit the Margit Kovács Ceramics Museum, located in an old-town salt storehouse, close to the Main Square.

Transfer: Accommodation to Airport
